  • Booking Our Units
    A. All units require a Damage Protection Deposit on arrival. No exceptions!
    B. We reserve the right to place people in a different vehicle that may be impeding on the pace of the group in order to maintain the integrity and overall smoothness of the tour. This will be at the tour guide's discretion.
    C. There is a 10% manditory gratuity added for each tour guide on every San Diego Dune Tours tour.
    D. Damage deposits will not be returned and will be forfeited for any and all damages or shenanigans. IE: reckless driving, switch backs, fish tails or waiting in the back of the pack, then going extremely fast to catch up which can cause damage to drive belts, tires, engines, transmissions and/or suspension on any of our units.
  • Arrival
    A. All participants are expected to arrive on time, this means 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour start time.
    B. Anyone arriving late and missing the departure of their tour will not be refunded. We will leave without you.
    C. Please note, if you do not give yourself enough time to check in and gear up, meaning you can't make it 30 minutes BEFORE your reservation, you might as well reschedule. Our tour guides and employees do not wait, and it is unfair to the other parties. This goes for both rentals AND tours, as we have limited employees on-site, and our time slots are specific for that reason.
    D. If you're scheduled for a tour, it is not private, unless specifically stated in writing and paid for as such.
    E. Deposits required upon arrival for all tours.
    F. You must call 2 hours prior to arrival.
    G. All customers must agree to show and have Xerox and/or digital copies of credentials such as IDs, credit cards, and any other necessary documentation for renting vehicles for tours.
  • Cancellation Policy
    A. Deposits (full and partial) for cancelled reservations are non-refundable.
    B. Changing or rescheduling your reservation information is located on your waiver release form.
    C. Regardless of whether you have paid in full or have a balance due on arrival, you will be charged your full original quoted price. This means that if you originally made a reservation for 3 people, and only 2 people show up, you will still be charged the full price for 3 people. This policy applies to any number of people.
    D. We do not refund due to COVID-19 related issues or any other issues. Our re-scheduling and cancellation policy remains the same for everyone.
    E. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
  • Refund Policy
    A. There are no refunds unless tour guide has to shut down the tour due to weather or other unsafe conditions.
    B. No refunds will be provided if participants miss their scheduled reservation or change or alter their reservation.
    C. No refunds will be provided if a tour group chooses to end the tour early or is unable to ride the full length of time specified in their reservation. Please be aware of all riders’ physical abilities and cordination levels, as well as restrictions and safety concerns. Please only make a reservation for the amount of riding time that you know you can handle, whether it is 2 hours, 4 hours or a full day.
  • Age Requirements
    A. 8 years & up to drive quads & dirt bikes.
    B. 25 years & up to drive Polaris RZR.
    C. 18-24 years may drive Polaris RZR with 25 year old in the vehicle.
